Echo of the Void: Homesong
Turn a space whale orbiting an unstable black hole into a resource with your sci-fi gadgets and the (forced) help of some space krill punchers.
How far up the resource progression can you go?

How to play:
Click the whale. Pick up the resources that drop!
Then try for the achievements.
Tip: place all the buildings you can. Achievements will reward you with bonus resources!
NOTE: loading the game for the first time may take a tad bit.

I enjoyed what I could play, the graphics are nice and the music is relaxing. I think it simulates the intended atmosphere really nice. However the music does get really glitchy and the game seems to be overall laggy not far into it, especially when interacting with the whale. I didn't care too much though and kept playing. I got to the point of collecting song essence, but couldn't figure out how to proceed in getting the converters. Read the description and it explains the requirements, I had far surpassed those requirements at this point. Tried refreshing the page to see if that could fix it, I was aware this may reset my game but I wasn't sure what else to do. It unfortunately did reset the game. Still overall enjoyed the game, just wish I could have played longer.
Hey Daethall, thanks for playing the game! I'm sorry to hear you experienced some performance issues. I wish I could help you with it, but with the web version the amount of debugging I can do is limited. As for the progression, multiple people have mentioned that it needs some work. An update is planned with some QOL features after the game jam's rating period is over. Stay tuned!

is the small black screen it loading or a problem with my browser, for context im using firefox

something still seems wrong, ive had the tab open for an hour and it hasnt popped up
ouch. Sorry to hear that. If you’re interested in fixing it, could you go into the firefox menu - more tools - developer console and let me know if you see any error messages in red? Let me see what I can do for you.

Hi! Thanks. That looks like a wasm-related error. I've never seen it before, though. Are you using an older version of Firefox? Have you tried with another browser by any chance?
